Fraserburgh (Corbie)
The bigger of the two Fraserburgh courses, this is a memorable trip around, in between and atop some huge sand dunes and links in the very north east of Scotland. You really begin to appreciate the depth of the golfer’s challenge when you make the ascent to either the third or fifth tees. Both of these are close to the highest point of the course, from which wonderful views are opened up. From a golfing aspect, however, it is more likely to be a stiff sea breeze - and resultant control of the golf ball - with which you have to concern yourself, rather than the scenic glories of furthest Aberdeenshire! First time participants will find this a fascinating and highly entertaining outing, where the elements will almost certainly add considerably to the existing challenge of 6300 yards - almost all of it north-south or vice versa; this is an opportunity not to be missed
