Dufftown

The hills and glens of surrounding Speyside are a delight. You feel instantly that this is a special place and a glance at the course confirms its state of perfection. Dufftown’s early holes quickly climb to a magnificent vantage point on the side of the hill, offering wonderful views all around. The fresh greens of spring, the acres of purple when heather is in full bloom, and the golds and browns of autumn all vie for the title of ‘best time of year’. Once on the higher part of the layout, the going is easy, with many of the challenges going across the slopes. Straying from the straight and narrow will inevitably cause grief and the small greens put emphasis on an accurate short game. It’s the scenery that may well provide the lasting memories...and there’s a wee chance you might just find a dram waiting for you afterwards in the clubhouse!
