Fishing
Fishing can be found in many guises - lochs, estuaries, fisheries, or rivers. The rivers Findhorn, Deveron, Lossie, Ythan and Ugie provide a heady mix of challenges for beginners and experienced anglers alike. If it's exclusive beats you're after, many stretches of the Dee, Don and Spey are world-famous.
The River Dee is celebrated for it's salmon fishing, especially it's multi sea winter spring salmon. The River Don not only has excellent salmon and sea trout fishing but is also known as one of the finest wild brown trout rivers in Europe. Excellent rainbow trout fishing can be enjoyed all year round at modern fisheries, with great bothie and refreshment facilities
If you prefer sea angling, you're well catered for in this area too. Tiny villages and picturesque harbours dotted along 150 miles (250 km) of beaches and often visually stunning coastline, provide an excellent base for a fishing holiday.
Whichever type of fishing or location you choose you will find yourself in peaceful scenic locations which are the perfect escape from the stresses of modern day life.
