Stunning castle dating from the 13th century. Contains superb collection of arms and armour and paintings, including works by Raeburn and Gainsborough. Castle: 21st March-30th June, Sat- Wed (closed Thurs & Fri) 12:00-17:00; 1st July-31st Aug, daily 11:00-17:00; 1st Sep-31st Oct, Sat-Wed (closed Thurs and Fri) 12:00-17:00 (last admission 16:15).
