Dunnottar Castle

Visited in October 2008. Well worth the visit. Stunning is the only word to describe this experience. Atmospheric, historic, outstanding views, birdwatching and beach walk. This attraction had everything. Of all the places visited during our holiday this one remains most prominent, perhaps as the experience was far beyond expectations. Allow plenty of time to truly experience this attraction. Need to be reasonably fit, although possible with a walking stick. Lots of stairs. Would suggest taking a packed lunch and hot drink on a cold day as location very exposed to climatic conditions.
