Towns & Villages / Kintore, kemnay and monymusk

Surrounding the tower house of Castle Fraser you’ll find the small rural communities of Kintore, Kemnay and Monymusk. The village of Monymusk has a church dated to Norman times, along with a Church and Arts Centre. In Kemnay quarry, they still produce whitegrey granite, one of the most distinctive materials in the whole of Aberdeenshire.
