Fraserburgh boasts the first ever Scottish lighthouse, which is now part of Scotland's first Lighthouse Museum. Surprisingly, Thomas Blake Glover, founder of the Mitsubishi motor company and the modern Japanese Navy, spent his childhood here. To experience old industry life, visit the working meal mill at Sandhaven nearby, or Maggie's Hoosie at Inverallochy, before finishing your day with an evening stroll along the golden beaches at sunset.
